This study was conducted to understand the design trends in industry and to do trend forecast.  Based on this study the color palette was chosen.  The understanding of how design addressed the needs and demands of people in a particular era.

The research helped in understanding users needs, available technology and material, and to map the different aspects of designing the seat. It  created a guideline of the do’s and don’t for the project. Water based product was unfeasible, as it would create discomfort for the person driving the car. People had bad experience with liquid cooling systems for seats in the past.
